John Cully
The story of John Cully so far , im not sure if i want to give too much away to be honest. Im a carpenter from Kildare who according to my family must have seen every movie going at this stage. Just not possible, but i am a big fan and think people need to be given, honest, unbiased reviews on up and coming movies .

No Country for Old Men
Ok..... Everyone has been raving about this film, and just like the rest of you out there I was really looking forward to this one. I have to say, immediately after watching this movie I was left feeling slightly robbed.

Not just for the time spent watching it but also for the way it ended. I was wondering, "Did I fall asleep somewhere along the line". "What the hell just happened here"? "They haven’t filled in all the blanks". Therein lays the genius of the movie.

For hours after watching I was re running the whole thing in my head. Typically of the Coen brothers but not typically of Hollywood this movie doesn’t follow any conventional movie making rules. Having watched previous Coen brother movies I shouldn’t have been surprised by this one but fair play to them they caught me off guard. The movie is solid. The dialogue isn’t as sharp as what were used to from the boys and seeing as there is not much of it, I thought it would have been. In saying that, it’s not what the movie is about.

From the very outset you’re drawn into this movie. The lack of dialogue just adds to the suspense. I’m going to resist writing any more as the less you know the better. I’m off to watch this one again.
