In 2003, one of the great cult television dramas of all time, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, came to an end in an explosive series finale – that saw the destruction of the titular character's hometown, hundreds of young women across the world gaining the powers of a Slayer, and Buffy and her friends ready to begin life anew away from the former Hellmouth. But after a year's worth of Buffy comics sub-titled 'Season Eight' begun in 2007, creatorwriter Joss Whedon has shown to fans that is far from the end of the story.
